Prekrasnyi introduces Yuri to Lara

Здравствуйте RCS! This is John Prekrasnyĭ broadcasting from a street café in Yuriatin with a good doctor friend. I wanted to let people know that tomorrow (Friday Nov. 4) we will be having a RCS meeting in Hammond Hall rm. 221 at 12 noon. We will be discussing upcoming events such as Movie Night, Fall Food Fest, Russki Stol, and others. We will be discussing possible community service opportunity for RCS.
Also tomorrow, RCS will be showing Onegin, a English film adaptation of Alexandr Pushkin’s Evgeni Onegin, starring Ralph Fiennes and Liv Tyler. The film will start at 6:00 pm in Trimball Hall rm. 200. From IMDB:
In the opulent St. Petersburg of the Empire period, Eugene Onegin is a jaded but dashing aristocrat – a man often lacking in empathy, who suffers from restlessness, melancholy and, finally, regret. Through his best friend Lensky, Onegin is introduced to the young Tatiana. A passionate and virtuous girl, she soon falls hopelessly under the spell of the aloof newcomer and professes her love for him. Written by Dawn M. Barclift
This is great romantic movie that guys would love to see, so this will be a great date movie.
On Tuesday (Nov. 10) the RCS will be participating in the ISO International Food Fest. We are looking for volunteers to contribute dishes, man the table, buy food, and or advertise the great Russian cuisine. If you are contributing dishes, please include ingredients. Let us make a record setting fundraising event, not only for the RCS, but for the International Food Fest.
On Saturday (Nov. 12) the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra will be preforming Music Russia, classical music from great Russian composers like Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Koraskov and Balakirev. The performance will be at the Truett Auditorium Memorial Building in Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary at 2001 W. Seminary Dr. in Fort Worth. Admission is free, but donations are gladly accepted. Come and hear some of the most beautiful music ever composed.
Well this John Prekrasnyĭ signing off as my friend is telling me about a newspaper article of a coup in Petrograd.
