Happy Labor Day weekend. This is John Prekrasnyĭ, broadcasting deep inside a N. Texas volcano. I would like to thank everyone that came to our first meeting last Friday. In case you couldn’t find us, we have our meetings at Hammond Hall room 200. In our first meeting we elected our officers for the year. Join me in congratulating our new officers. We elected Trish, Lady Gogol, as our President. For Vice-President, we elected the awesome Jean Halverson. Our new Minister of Culture is the wonderful Elveera. For the office of the Minister of Propaganda we had unprecedented election of not one person but two, Co-Minister Паша and Co-Minister Kelsey. And I was humbly elected as your secretary.
This next is full of events that we would love for you to join us in. On Tuesday, Sept. 7th, come out and enjoy the musical talents of Russian musicians Mumiy Troll at The Loft in Dallas. Click the here for info and directions. On Thursday, Sept 9th at the Palo Duro Lounge from 4:00 to 5:30, we are hosting Global Grounds. We will be showing off the best of Russian culture. We will have cookies and tea, so invite all you friends and family. It will be a great time for all. Now this Friday, Sept. 10th at 12:00 we will have “Welcome Back Lunch” at The Taste of Europe in Arlington. Trish currently working on a family style menu with Mikhail, but to get an idea of how much food needs to be prepared for the day, and also to get a better idea of what the price for lunch will be per person, Trish would like to ask everyone to RSVP for the event by Tuesday (September 7th) by clicking here. I hope to see you all there.
